Born September 14th, 1995, "Jimi" was from the very start an obvious standout in his litter eight the first of Shaman Samoyeds in Seattle, WA, USA. In a breed where we often settle for either type or movement, Jimi Quickly made it obvious that he had both. He went Best In Match at his first puppy match, and hasn't looked back since. Jimi is the only Samoyed to have been ranked in both the US and Canadian top ten for four years running. His first BIS, in August 1988 at Victoria City kennel Club, helped him earn Canada's #1 ranking that year. Subsequently, he was #2 for 1999 and 2000, and again #1 - by a mile - in 2001. During his career, he has picked up eight BIS awards, three BISS awards, one being the 2001 Samoyed Association Of Canada National Specialty under breeder judge Jeanne Zuver, an Award of Merit at the 1999 & 2002 SCA National, and numerous Group wins and placements. Jimi's profile as a stud dog is as impressive as his show record: the sire of numerous champion get, he is clearly on his way to establishing himself as a stud of significance, given his fine contributions to Samoyed breed. Those who have seen him know: combining sound structure with flawless movement and excellent breed type is indeed possible. And, most importantly, Jimi is a wonderful family pet whose gentle, enthusiastic temperament is evidenced in his get. |
